In this day and age, when our failed leader seeks to erode public trust, create disharmony, and divide us, the U.S. Constitution might well be the only real salvation we have. Or at least gives us enough common assurance that no matter how intense our political disagreements become, the boundaries guarding individual liberties and fair play remain.

Paradoxically, its power to unite does not come from demanding that Americans think alike, but from how we handle our disagreements.

It was designed for times like this – times of trouble.

Ultimately, it may well be the only collective shield of protection we have to provide enough common ground to at least give peaceful coexistence a fair chance.

And, enough time to heal.

Maybe it’s time to call upon it!
