Trumps Week: Low Approval, Bribery, Backlash, and Embarrassment
On Monday, Trump’s economic approval rating plunged 61 points after oil returned to over $100/barrel and diesel prices exceeded $6.00/gallon for the 1st time in history.
Then on Tuesday, speaking to assembled first responders on the Ellipse, he demonstrated trouble behind the podium:
“In the course of history, there are few moments that divide (pause) time into really what (pause) came before, when you look at what took place that day. Nobody will ever (pause) even think of (pause) such a thing being able to happen again”.
Believe it or not, it looked to me that he was reading this from prepared remarks.
Wednesday night, after promising a $5,000 dividend check to all American adults at his “Trump-a-Palooza”, he struggled convincing FOX News’, Laura Ingraham, on how the payouts would work.
INGRAHAM: “We’re $40 T in debt; how is that financially responsible or even doable?”
TRUMP: “It has to be spent in the United States. We can’t go out and buy things from Germany or, frankly, Canada or any other place. Therefore, it just gets flowed into the system.”
INGRAHAM: “So why not just give them the money, now?”
TRUMP: “Because the Democrats can’t do it. Because for them, it’s negative growth. With us, it’s so positive. So, we’re taking in $21 trillion. No country has taken anywhere near that. All because of the beautiful word you and I love than most others: tariffs.”
On Thursday, Trump’s top “grand conspiracy” prosecutor, Joe diGenova, resigned under pressure for his failure to bring indictments on any of Trump’s political opponents.
On Friday, 9/11, all four living presidents and wives attended the Ground Zero ceremony and literally stood in quiet solidarity through the reading of all 2,983 names of those that perished. Prevented from speaking at that event, Trump instead attended the Pentagon ceremony where he and his “toy soldier”, Pete Hegseth, decided to use the somber occasion to justify the Iran war fiasco.
Afterwords, while the names of 184 victims were being honored, “Snoozy” took a seat behind the podium, for all to see, nodding off.
Meanwhile, weeks after false arrests for vandalism, Trump’s hand-picked, no-bid, pool guy, who renovated the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool for $14M, admitted that timing errors and flaws in the repair plan and materials used, not vandalism, caused the pool’s new blue liner to peel and break loose.
That night, Trump continued to blame vandals before inexplicably re-posting his infamous video telling the J6 insurrectionists he loved them, and they should go home.
NUFF SED!!!
Nuff sed.
