The Iran Question

Iran and its proxies have wreaked havoc dating back to the 1980s.  Iran’s nuclear interests are now in the wrong hands, and they have gained economic leverage over the strait of Hormuz.  In my view, the answer is not more war, nor is it the Trump administration’s incredibly uneducated position that periods of massive bombing raids will bring Iran’s theocratic regime to its knees.  For Iran, simply surviving the conflict with its regime intact constitutes a victory.  Instead, it will take a multilateral framework that addresses Iran’s security fears, a negotiated end to hostilities, a balance of mutual concessions, and a verifiable method to track nuclear development compliance.  Mind you…the Obama sponsored JCPOA agreement did just that.
