Makes you think, doesn’t it?

Especially when we have Pastor Pete Hegseth, standing Patton-like before a floor-to ceiling American flag, delivering his choreographed “State of the Force Address”. A clear attempt to turn the military into his own brute squad of crusaders. Pausing throughout to underscore Christian principles and scripture references, he announced his own warfare command initiative, entitled “Project Meridian”. It will focus on the future of warfare and how it intersects with AI. One of those heading it all up, Elon Musk. A ketamine muddled guy with zero military experience, zero command experience, and zero background in defense strategy.

In addition, Hegseth introduced the “Office of Religious Affairs”, his newest military commitment to the nation, which, according to subsequent reviews by religious scholars, is based completely on his own skewed interpretation of the “6th Chapter of the Book of Isiah”.

He does that a lot.

Aside from the fact that he’s somewhat of a white Christian nationalist himself, it’s easier to understand why Pastor Hegseth has unilaterally waived the “Establishment Clause”, upholding the separation of church and state, in favor of dumping his latest faith-related reforms upon the Pentagon.

All this in the midst of a war, no less, so it must be a big deal, right?

So why does Hegseth’s speech really matter? Because he’s a neo-con, doing his duty to bring Project 2025 to fruition. The archconservative’s blueprint to expand presidential control by dismantling key administrative agencies, reshaping the military, and installing far-right personnel and social policies.

It perfectly aligns with Project 2025’s advocacy for elevating the role of religion within the U.S. military. It follows Project 2025’s "hardline religious right agenda" almost verbatim, dismantling "woke" culture in the armed forces, attacking the free press as treasonous, and bringing religion back to the forefront of military life.

And it’s not over yet.

Under Hegseth, many of the foundational tenets from Project 2025 have already replaced active Pentagon policies. The elimination of DEI, the ban on transgenders, rescinding abortion and reproductive rights, and restoring the so-called “warrior ethos”, just to name a few.

If people are waiting for the moment to speak up and say, hey, this is starting to look a lot like a fascist regime. This may well be that moment.

And, by-the-way, look closely. If Hegseth objects to so many people comparing him to things that happened back in the 1930s, shouldn’t he at least stop doing things that make it easy for people to do so? I mean, what’s with his choice for the American Eagle symbol for his Department of War, versus the official American Eagle seal portrayed in the middle?

What’s he trying hard to be?
