# Venezuela's Oil $$$ - Where does it go? Nobody knows!

Snoozy D's claim that Venezuela is pouring “hundreds of billions of dollars” into the United States is false. So, the man is either stupid, a bold-faced liar, or both.

Venezuela’s GDP for 2025 was $99.7B, so Trump’s goofy claim of “hundreds of billions of dollars” would dwarf Venezuela's total gross domestic product.

Independent experts and data show that actual oil revenue collected since the U.S. took over Venezuelan oil exports is closer to $13B. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, agrees with the $13B estimate, explaining that the U.S. does not legally own or control the capital itself, noting, *“We only control the dispersal of the money, we don't control the actual money.”*

One thing’s for certain. We need to make sure of the exact financial structure, ensuring where that money goes remains fully transparent. 

And, if you didn’t see it, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s halting, and confusing responses during yesterday’s House Financial Services Committee hearing should raise a lot of legitimate concerns. Bessent acknowledged that these funds represented “one of the largest assets to ever go on the U.S. balance sheet,” but could not verify how that money would be disbursed.

Pretty typical for that bumbling sycophant.
